Term	Description
Action Panel	A popup window to access Actions (in vis\|ability)
Action(s)	Customized buttons to invoke frequently used macros or commands.
Audio	Mapping of sources to audio zones and control of audio systems connected to the vis\|ability platform.
Audio Tab	A button in the vis\|ability Hub which opens access to manage any audio controls connected to the vis\|ability platform.
Capture Client	The software application which pulls content into vis\|ability from computers on the network.
Chat	To communicate with another user via realtime text in vis\|ability; n. An interactive record of realtime text between users in vis\|ability.
Cloud	Vis\|ability in the Cloud connects teams to critical information, displays, sites, & people wherever they are.
Collaborate	To view and interact with information inside vis\|ability with another user
Control Room	Any gathering place inside an organization, usually secure, where people collaborate around critical information, and manage incidents.
Desktop Client	vis\|ability’s graphic user interface application for PCs and workstations.
Display	Any large display used for the visual presentation of information, connected to the vis\|ability platform, from a single panel to a video wall.
Display Node	vis\|ability’s display management software, hosted on any appropriately-specced off-the-shelf computer or server. A Display Node is the only component required to connect to vis/ability resources and display limitless mosaics of content in a common operating picture.
Displays Tab	A tab (in the vis\|ability Hub) where users access display walls connected to the platform, and manage their content
Favorite(s)	Frequently accessed People, Spaces, Displays, & Sources; v. To save a frequently accessed Person, Display, or Source as a Favorite
Favorites Tab	A tab (in the vis\|ability Hub) to store and organize frequently accessed People, Spaces, Displays, and Sources
Grid	A customizable frame in which content can be visually organized; v. To create or manage content in an organized fashion
Hub	A collapsible desktop toolbar where users can access all elements of the vis\|ability system
Layout	A customized set of visual content that can be loaded together as a group on a display
Link	A plugin architecture that connects monitoring applications to vis\|ability, automating the visual common operating picture.
Link Email Connector	The Link plugin which enables the display of visual information in vis\|ability, as incident notifications are received via email.
Link ServiceNow Connector	The Link plugin to ServiceNow, enabling the display of content in vis\|ability, by relevance and importance, as they are triggered by ServiceNow tickets.
Link Waze	The Link plugin to Waze, enabling the automated, organized display of traffic cameras and content in vis\|ability, as incidents first develop and are reported via Waze crowdsource data.
People (or Person)	A credentialed user of the vis\|ability platform
People Tab	A tab (in the vis\|ability Hub) which allows one to share content and chat with other users of the system.
Share	To send information or access to information to another user in vis\|ability; n. An invitation to access information from another user in vis\|abililty
Sources	Visual content available in the vis\|ability Platform. Includes web pages, applications, graphics, media files, screen captures, widgets, IP cameras, cable channels and live streamed video from a vis\|ability mobile app.
Sources Tab	A tab (in the vis\|ability Hub) to access all the content available in the vis/ability platform
Space(s)	A virtual container(s) for collaborating with vis\|ability Sources.
Spaces Tab	A tab (in the vis\|ability Hub) to access, create, and manage Spaces
System Manager	The central repository of vis\|ability system configuration information
Tab	The central repository of vis\|ability system configuration information
Template	A set of defined areas of a video wall, in an existing layout format, into which content can be placed without requiring additional effort to resize or shift around the screen. Users can define any number of Templates for use anytime.
Tile	To organize content so it occupies equalized amounts of space in a visual area.
Tools Tab	A tab (in the vis/ability Hub) to access the Link configurator and Actions Panel
User	A human with the ability to interact with a digital tool.
Video Controller	A device or computer which combines a number of video signals into a contiguous image, to display on a video wall.
Video Wall	A group of video displays positioned together, in order to be viewed as one contiguous display. Or, a very large display for use in control rooms and command centers.
vis\|ability	The collaborative visual operating picture for critical intelligence, teams, & essential organizations.
VMS	Video Management Systems, which are often used to unite the control and management of a large number of monitoring cameras. vis\|ability integrates VMS platforms to unify your common operating picture.
